Kerry Trip – First Stop, River Laune
I couldn’t resist one more day on the Laune before the season ended. The fishing was slower this time than my last visit a few weeks previous and i didn’t see any fish landed. I fished the stretch at Heffernans until lunch without any luck, and moved upstream past Johnstons in the afternoon. Here i had my only take of the day, and luckily i managed to keep her on! A fresh enough fish about 5lb (no sea lice but still nice and silver) that took an orange shrimp i tied the day before. A quick photo and back she went.
